Who Loam is for

Banks

Loam gives banks cross-border settlement in seconds and local-currency payout across live corridors, so customers can move money without the bank maintaining a correspondent relationship in every market.

Remittance groups

Remittance operators can keep corridors open around the clock, settle into local currency, and reduce the cost and weekend delays that make emerging-market payout hard to run at scale.

Payroll

Payroll teams can fund once, pay many markets, and keep contractors receiving the currency they use locally without opening and reconciling bank accounts in every country.

Treasury

Treasury teams get one place to hold stablecoin balances, convert local currency in and out, settle obligations, and reconcile their flows.

Trade finance houses

Trade finance houses can fund a flow, hold funds against agreed conditions, release payment when both sides deliver, and keep the repayment path visible from origination to settlement.

PSPs

PSPs can add cross-border settlement and local payout through Loam while keeping their existing customer, wallet, and reporting stack intact.

iGaming

iGaming finance teams can settle operator balances and cross-border payouts continuously, including weekends, with every counterparty verified before it can send or withdraw funds.

Insurance

Insurance operators can collect premiums, pay claims, and reconcile cross-border flows across markets while keeping counterparties verified and every movement traceable.

Bank in, bank out, and everything in the middle.

Payments

Fund from any bank you already use and pay any verified counterparty; they receive their own local currency the same day. No correspondent banks, no weekend hold.

FX

Convert between local currency and your stablecoin balance when you fund and when you pay out, with the rate and fees shown before you confirm.

Escrow

Hold funds against agreed conditions and release them automatically once both sides deliver. Built for new counterparties and high-value trades.

Security and controls your CFO will actually like.

KYB on every organisation

Every organisation on Loam must pass KYB verification before it can send or withdraw funds.* Counterparty records are kept in one place. Finance teams can review counterparties against a consistent record, reducing the number of manual checks scattered across email and spreadsheets.

* Offer not available in certain jurisdictions - please email support@loampay.com for more information.

Custody of funds

Balances are held in stablecoins, currently USDC, in wallets that we maintain with our custody provider. Loam does not keep fiat balances for you: fiat you send is received through partner banks or payment providers and converted into your stablecoin balance, and fiat payouts are made through them. Loam is not a bank. Balances on Loam are not bank deposits and are not covered by any deposit protection scheme.

Full audit trail

Every action, settlement, and invoice is timestamped and linked for a complete audit trail. Finance teams can see when a payment settled and which invoice it relates to.

Customer API

The settlement rail, callable from your stack.

Request a foreign-exchange quote, read balances, then move money to approved destinations when that grant is open. Every guarantee is published in the OpenAPI 3.1 contract and enforced below the API layer.

  • Quotes, payments, treasury and ramps in one contract
  • Idempotency-Key on every write — a replay returns the first outcome
  • Money scopes granted under step-up authentication, revocable on a bounded clock
